The badge is a rectangle, short side up, with a reversed white triangle on top.  The badge is divided at the point with red on one side, black on the other.  Four gold crests, two over two represent the States from which the original 43d Division came, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont.
118th  Ordnance               43d Infantry Division

The insignia for the 118th Ordnance  was never approved
by the Institute of Heraldry.
The badge is a rectangle, short side up, with a reversed green triangle on top, and the remainder is gold.  Four crests, two over two represent the States from which the original 43d Division came, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine and Vermont.

143rd Support Group     Connecticut National Guard

Originally approved on October 4, 1929 for the 43d Division, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maine National Guards.  The badge is a rectangle, short side up, with a reversed white  triangle on top.  The badge is divided at the point with red on one side, blue on the other.  Four gold crests, two over two represent the States from which the original 43d Infantry Division came.
 
The unit was redesignated the 43d Infantry Brigade on
September 1, 1993.

The  unit was redesignated once again as the 143d Support Group (AREA), Hartford, Connecticut on May 29, 1997.
