Presidential  Unit Citation
Authorized as the Distinguished Unit Citation on Feb. 26, 1942,  it was re-designated as the Presidential Unit Citation on Jan, 10, 1957.

The unit must display such galantry, determination and heroism in action in accomplishing its mission as to set it apart from other units participating in the same campaign.

Unit citations are indicated by ribbon bars only, there are no medals.

Presidential Unit Citations Awarded to all 3 Battalions of the 169th Infantry  and the 43d Division Military Police Company.
Army- Good Conduct American Defense
Authorized on June 28, 1941.  Awarded on a selective basis to enlisted members of the U.S. Army who distinguished themselves by exemplary behavior for a period of three years.  This was reduced to one year during wartime service. Authorized on June 28, 1941.  Awarded to members of the U.S armed forces "for service during the unlimited emergency proclaimed by the President on May 27, 1941."

Authorized in 1946.
Awarded for thirty days consecutive service in any of the occupied territories after W.W. II.  Clasps inscribed with the words, "Germany" and "Japan" were worn with these medals.  The obverse shows the Remagen bridge, symbolic of Europe, the reverse shows Mount Fujiyama, symbolic of Asia.
Authorized on  July 6, 1945.
Awarded to all members of the U.S armed forces on active duty at any time between December 7, 1941 and December 31, 1946.

This Medal was also awarded to members of the Philippine armed forces.

November 6, 1942.
Awarded to all members of the U.S armed forces for thirty days active service in prescribed areas or aboard certain ships between December 7, 1941 and November 8, 1945.

Awarded to personnel of the U.S armed forces who are recipients of the Philippine Defense Ribbon or the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
Authorized in 1944 and awarded for U.S armed forces personnel for participation in the liberation of the Philippines from October 17, 1944 to September 3, 1945.
Authorized in 1944 and awarded for U.S armed forces personnel for service in the defense of the Philippines from
December 8, 1941 to
June 15, 1942.
